One of my favorite things to do is to look at cook books.  Yes, actual real life paper books. This recipe is from my Slow Cooker Bible (https://www.amazon.com/The-Slow-Cooker-Bible/dp/1412727790) cookbook.  I wanted a clam chowder recipe that was simple and had ingredients that we can easily have on hand and in the pantry.  I looked at many slow cooker clam chowder recipes on Pinterest.com and all the other recipes had more ingredients than this one.  I liked this recipe because it incorpora
ted a lot of canned goods, like soup, evaporated milk and creamed corn. This recipe can be easily stored in your pantry and made on a week night for the following evening.
I made this recipe on super bowl Sunday. My husband had to work and we are definitely not football people. Needless to say we did not attend any super bowl parties. I decided to make this recipe on this day, my husband and I worked in front of the fire, the kids were scattered through the house doing their own thing.
Recipeflogger Review:  This recipe was a huge success with my family. Every person loved this soup. I bought bread bowls at the store and toasted them prior to the soup being done in the crock pot. The kids loved the bread bowl angle and the fact they can dip the lid to the bread bowl with the clam chowder was pure happiness to my munchkins.
I am definitely going to do this recipe again for the fall/winter months.  It’s a crock pot recipe with virtually no prep time and my entire family loves it.  You can’t go wrong with this one.
