I was very excited about the Maple Sausage Breakfast Slider recipe I found on Pinterest (http://cookiesandcups.com/maple-sausage-breakfast-sliders/), and I must say I’ve had 50/50 reviews from my family. I originally made it for Christmas breakfast which I got ready the night before and popped it in when everyone was opening presents. Everyone loved them then.   I then made it for a brunch when my
bestie came over with her kids. Now my bestie and her kids, loved it and gave it rave reviews. She compared these sliders to cake, where you eat a little bit at a time and realize you’ve had half the dish without knowing it. Now my kids on the other hand, they are divided about these sliders. Half of them loved it, the other half could care less. I made these for my husband one Sunday night so he can feed them to the kids’ breakfast during the week. I made 12 and that will feed the three little ones for most of the week. My 7 and 4 year old each had one for breakfast on one school morning. My 8-year-old did not want to bother at all. Me and my husband on the other hand loved them and devoured the rest of them. But, that did not help with the kids.
Flogger Complaint: The bottom bun of the sliders does get a little soggy with the maple syrup and butter combo. But you can easily just discard it and have a perfectly delicious slider.
I followed the recipe to exact steps listed. I did not find anything confusing or wrong with the time to prepare or cook these sliders.
I can honestly say I will make these again, maybe not as much as I thought I would, but definitely they are in my and my family’s future.
